I think it is fascinating that we only really see one side of actors, politicians, comedians, and other celebrities. Beyond the movies, conferences, and shows, they have their own family and lives. Recently, I read Notes on a Cowardly Lion (I told you I was a Wizard of Oz fan remember?). This is a biography on Bert Lahr, the man in the Cowardly Lion suit, written by his son John. While reading, I realized that I really didn't know anything about him. I knew about this groundbreaking role he played, everything about that movie, and most everything about his teenage co-star Judy Garland, but I didn't know anything about his personal or professional life outside the fictional land of Oz. Since then, I have been really into reading past what I already know about some of our everyday celebrities.
Listed below are a few autobiographies on current day celebrities that I can't wait to read. Do you have any recommendations for me? Email mkotelchuck@whatsupmag.com with your most recent read and a quick review about it to be featured!
