Easton, MD - The annual Crab Drop is one of the Eastern Shore’s most popular events, where hundreds of spectators gather in Easton to watch the state’s favorite crustacean drop to celebrate the New Year. There are two crab drops offered, with the first at 9 p.m. and the second at midnight.
You can make a night of it by adding in the Avalon Theatre’s New Year’s Eve Rock-N-Ramble. Starting at 7 p.m., the evening features live music from local home-grown bands from across the Mid-Shore. Or, you can toast to the New Year with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra at Christ Church from 7-9 p.m.
Whether you’re seeking an elegant fine-dining experience, a cozy bistro, or a laid-back pub, many of Talbot County’s restaurants are staying open late or offering special menus for celebrate the New Year. Reservations are encouraged.
