Breonna Taylor/ Black Lives Matter Mural
A Black Lives Matter mural was created in front of the Banneker-Douglass Museum by the Museum, and the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture. The 7,000 square foot mural project is honoring the life of Breonna Taylor to bring awareness to the Black Lives Matter Civil Rights Movement to end police brutality and systemic racism. It is intended that the mural is visible from space through satellite imagery. 40 volunteers joined 10 artists to get the job done in just 24 hours.
