Annapolis, Maryland- Restaurateurs Brian Hovermale and Lino DiMeo have announced the opening of Positano, a new
Italian-inspired restaurant located at 106 Annapolis Street in West Annapolis in the former Agave space. The restaurant will bring fresh brick oven pizzas, handcrafted pastas, sandwiches, salads, and more to a beautifully renovated 4,500-square-foot space in the heart of the neighborhood.
Hovermale and DiMeo are well known in the Annapolis dining scene and collectively bring decades of hospitality experience to the concept. The partners are affiliated with several successful local restaurants, including Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen, Galliano Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Ray’s New York Pizza, and saw an opportunity to expand their footprint in the community with a concept designed specifically for West Annapolis.

Positano will offer a vibrant yet approachable dining experience that blends high-quality Italian cuisine with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The menu will feature 950-degree brick oven pizzas, fresh pastas, sandwiches, salads, and classic Italian dishes.
Signature menu experiences will include tableside chicken parmesan and tableside tiramisu, adding an interactive element that enhances the dining experience for guests. “This upscale yet family-friendly concept is exactly what the community has been craving,” said Brian Hovermale, co-owner of Positano. “We’ve always believed there has been a void in West Annapolis for a vibrant, high-quality Italian-inspired dining experience, and we’re excited to bring something fresh and welcoming to the neighborhood while continuing to expand our presence locally.”
Positano will offer both indoor and outdoor seating, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy al fresco dining in West Annapolis. The restaurant will serve lunch daily and feature weekend brunch, along with happy hour specials on food and drinks Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Positano will operate Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and reservations will be available through OpenTable.
In addition to daily dining, Positano will offer on-site and off-site catering as well as private events, making it an ideal destination for gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions. A grand opening date and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be announced soon.
