Program speakers include Chanel Compton, Executive Director of Banneker-Douglass Museum, Rev. Dr. Tamara Wilson, Chair of Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture, Maryland State Delegate Shaneka Henson, Exhibit co-curators Schillica Howard and Darin Gilliam, and selected exhibit artists.
HONOR is a group art exhibition featuring six emerging and mid-career Black women artists from Maryland: Abena Apatu, Bria Edwards, Greta Chapin-McGill, Gina Marie Lewis, Sasha-Loriene, and Kennedy Trusty. This exhibit honors Black women's artistic expression of the body, soul, movement, and culture. The exhibit is co-curated by the Banneker-Douglass Museum and ArtFarm Studios.
