On Friday May 29th at 5:00 p.m., restaurants were able to open their outside doors to the public. Of course, restaurants had to follow state guidelines such as social distancing, table seating limits, paper or sanitized menus, screening staff and training employees. Now we are over a week into this new dining atmosphere and we wanted to hear from you, our readers on how comfortable you felt with venturing out into this new dynamic.
We asked three questions: Do you feel comfortable going to a Restaurant right now? Did you go to a restaurant? And do you think restaurants had enough time to prepare for the re-opening? We are thankful to have gotten so many readers to fill out the survey, now here are the responses:
Seems as though many people are still feeling reserved about this new normal. Some responses said they are waiting to give the restaurants some time to get back in the swing of things. If you didn't get a chance to take the survey, we would love to see if the numbers have changed from weekend one to weekend two. Let us know what you think here.

“Sunday after golfing in Arnold at the Chip & putt I went to McGarveys, downtown Annapolis. Both my Crab Cake sandwich & salad were served in separate take-out containers & my beverage had a lid. To sign credit card they have clean pens to use, server had mask & gloves. It was WONDERFUL & I was so happy to support them!! I do believe they are all ready to open inside dining!!”
