The Songwriter’s Series - Live at BWI is a live music series showcasing local talent at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. This initiative also supports BWI’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment by reducing travel-related stress through cultural engagement.
“The destination begins the moment a visitor steps off the plane. We see BWI Marshall Airport as more than a travel hub—it’s our first chance to say, ‘Welcome,’” said Kristen Pironis, CEO of Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County. “With more than 27 million people passing through each year, we’re proud to help shape that first impression in a way that reflects the spirit of our region. And what better way to do that than with live music filling the terminal? Whether someone’s here for a quick connection or a longer stay, we want them to feel welcomed, inspired, and excited to return—and maybe even bring a few friends next time.”
“The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County is thrilled to shine a spotlight on the many talented performers in our county who will be performing at Live at BWI during this year’s Anne Arundel Arts Month,” said April Nyman, President & CEO of The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County. “We want to acknowledge the support of Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County and Rams Head On Stage in helping us to make this opportunity happen, and to AM-FM which represents these amazing individuals. Together, we will be able to showcase the power of the arts to all who travel through BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport this month.”
“Rams Head is excited to be part of bringing music to the airport and showing travelers a preview of some of the great entertainment that Maryland has to offer,” said Kyle Muehlhauser, Owner of Rams Head On Stage and Rams Head Presents.
“The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians is proud to be a partner in this endeavor to showcase our local musicians and bring music to BWI as part of Anne Arundel Arts Month,” said P.J. Thomas, President of Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians. “Our hope is that music will continue after this series so all who travel in and out of BWI can experience the special musical scene we have to offer.”
