On December 8th, Anne Arundel County Senior Provider Group had their Grant Presentation meeting. During the presentation, they were able to present $20,000 to four deserving and worthy organizations. $16,000 came from proceeds from advertising sales generated by What's Up? Media!

Partners in Care
Grant money will be used to purchase 23 tablets for seniors who have no means of communicating with the outside world. They will also receive 1 on 1 training, learn how to do telehealth appointments, how to use social media, how to use grocery delivery apps. Partnering with Comcast Essentials program at $9.99 per month for internet service.
Parkisnsons Foundation
The purchase of Aware and Care kits for emergency situations and going to the hospital.
Larry Zarzecki also spoke as an ambassador – he fell due to his Parkinsons and sustained serious brain injury. This kit helped him because it contained the following:
- ID bracelet
- Information card
- Hospital plan
- And more essential information for doctors and nurses
Home Based Medical Care in Odenton
This money will be used for procedure boxes, resiliency center, used medical equiptment for seniors, new incontinent supplies, purchasing a new company vans for deliveries, and the pantry-senior food bank.
Baltimore Washington Medical Center Foundation
This grant will cover co-pays for seniors, transportation, support in hospital, supplies like walkers, Lyft rides to and from the hospital, and long term medical affordability.
