As a college lacrosse player, having rarely suffered previous muscle and joint pain, I was in for a long and frustrating ride. Freshman year I developed a terrible, dull pain in my left hip. Followed by the same pain in my right hip the next year along with foot pain. I was told it was bursitis, a stress reaction, a weak hip, and several other diagnoses. My hip joints were aggravated not due to the heavy volume of running but to the lack of proper function as I was running. Could these years of pain have been prevented or cut shorter had I known about this therapy? I believe so, without a doubt.
