Capital SUP's “Grom Camp'' is filled with learning & fun on the waterways of Annapolis!
All groms will learn about, water safety, how to SUP, SUP yoga, SUP fitness, SUP Games, Beach Clean ups, Oyster Education, and most importantly learning to appreciate and love the outdoors! The first day of camp is focused on learning how to SUP for beginners and improving SUP skills for campers who have paddled before, taught by the most knowledgeable instructors in Maryland. The following sessions feature our favorite paddling games and learning experiences, after every camper is feeling stoked about their paddle skills,
What exactly is a Grom? A grommet (grom) is a young participant in action sports. Originally, a grommet was a surfer under the age of 16. In recent years, this has expanded to include other action sports, most notably stand-up paddleboarding.
With eleven different weeks of camp and three session options available, there is something for everyone’s schedule. The full day camp runs 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with an on-land break between on-water activities. The A.M. camp runs 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and P.M. camp runs 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. All campers will warm up with on-land activities, and cool down with a lunch after their SUP session on the water each day.
