In late Summer 2015, Drs. Mike Pardo, Bryan Ambro and James Chappell sat down over a beer to discuss a future partnership that would transform what was, at the time, the original Annapolis Plastic Surgery.
Prior to this significant conversation, Annapolis Plastic Surgery (APS) had originally been the name of Dr. James Chappell’s practice, a plastic surgeon located in the Annapolis area since 1998. Several years prior to this meeting, Dr. Bryan Ambro had created Annapolis Facial Plastic Surgery (AFPS) when he joined Dr. Pardo and his partners as a cosmetic subdivision of Annapolis Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy Associates. Prior to joining Annapolis ENT, Dr. Ambro had been the head of the facial plastic surgery division at the University of Maryland.
After some great conversation and pivotal discussion thereafter, the three doctors agreed that Dr. Chappell would merge his practice with AFPS. During this union, the team collectively decided to remove the word “Facial” from AFPS, and a new and enhanced version of Annapolis Plastic Surgery was born.
The practice name embodies a truly “head-to-toe” plastic surgery practice that combines the expertise of highly experienced surgeons. As a result, patients can expect a comprehensive approach to any plastic surgery options they may be pursuing. Other plastic surgery offices may focus more predominantly on the upper or lower body, whereas Annapolis Plastic Surgery has created an environment and experience backed by award-winning surgeons who focus on both.
Dr. Ambro focuses primarily on facial plastic surgeries such as facelifts, laser facial rejuvenation, eyelid tucks and rhinoplasties (nose jobs). Dr. Chappell focuses mainly on body plastic surgery procedures such as breast implants, breast lifts, tummy tucks, breast reductions and liposuction. Both doctors also perform any non-invasive procedure related to Botox and injectable fillers.

Before and After: Rhinoplasty
Annapolis Plastic Surgery continues to grow, expand and thrive as the doctors have added both a nurse and nurse practitioner to perform laser treatments, such as Halo, and Coolsculpting. The team also has a wonderful aesthetician who helps people treat and maintain their skin with modern skin care techniques and treatments.
But the biggest news from their practice is the recent addition of NeoGraft Hair Restoration to their comprehensive offering of services. NeoGraft is modern hair transplantation using the follicular unit extraction technique. This is exciting news for the thousands of area residents who suffer from hair loss and are looking for a minimally-invase solution that delivers natural looking results. Using NeoGraft technology, individual hair follicles are transplanted from the back of the head to the bald areas of the scalp to restore a youthful head of hair. The patient does not even have to go to sleep to have the procedure done.
Before and After: NeoGraph Hair Restoration
Because the hair follicles that are left behind are not damaged during the procedure, the hair just grows back, resulting in no visible scarring. Grafts have extremely high success rates and within 6-9 months, a patient can see their new head of hair. This is a truly life-altering option from those suffering from baldness or thinning hair. Don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Bryan Ambro or Dr. James Chappell to learn more about NeoGraft technology and to schedule your consultation, right here in Annapolis, Maryland.
