Colin Dougherty's affinity for the sophistication of vintage fashion, coupled with his appreciation for the practicality of classic trends, gave him an idea: why not make a product that encompasses both? This idea, paired with a desire to create something authentic and unique, became the foundation of Dougherty Shoes.
23-year-old Dougherty was born and raised in Maryland, and his first collection of shoes makes that quite clear. In summer 2017, the Towson University grad released The American Classicsand The Old Baes. The design makes a statement while simultaneously preserving the timelessness of the traditional men’s loafer. Both styles are made of genuine leather with a soft, rubber insole and boast bold designs which encompass the elegance and energy of summertime on the East Coast.

Though quality is always a guarantee, comfort is the focal point of Dougherty's next feat. His next collection, which are available to purchase on Kickstarter, offers customers the option to purchase 100% silk insoles custom made by Gladson in New York City.
“The new insoles are totally wild! They add unbelievable comfort and give men an extra boost of confidence as they leave the house in the morning to take on the day.” -Colin Dougherty
