In 2014, Robert Clark, President of Historic Annapolis, and Dean D’Camera, Managing Director of Hilb Group brought together a group of Annapolitan men to raise awareness of Historic Annapolis (HA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making our unique capital city a true “Museum Without Walls”. Robert and Dean realized HA needed a lively, fun, event that would raise funds to support and increase awareness of the organization’s mission.
In the fall of that year a gathering of “who’s who” in Annapolis took place in the William Paca Garden for a fun-filled evening of Blazers Bourbon and Cigars. The event has grown astronomically over the past five years and has become the premier Gentlemen’s only evening.
As fall approached, it became evident that restrictions due to the public health pandemic would force the cancellation of this much anticipated event. The Blazers. Bourbon . Cigars Committee began exploring ways to reimagine the event and continue to give the gentlemen of Annapolis a safe opportunity to share good food, good drinks, and good company with COVID-19 restrictions.
They have succeeded in putting together an exceptional event. On October 22, 2020 from 6 pm – 8:30 pm, gentlemen will once again gather in the Paca Garden for an exclusive Blazers & Bourbon Dinner, featuring:
- An al fresco, four course live-fire grilling experience provided by Chef Jim Holderbaum of Range & Reef,
- A paired rye whiskey tasting for each course, provided by WhistlePig and Fishpaws Marketplace
(wine and beer also available), and
- A special gift cigar, provided by Broadleaf Tobacco
This exclusive event is limited to just 100 gentlemen. Historic Annapolis invites you to play an important part in this historic event by becoming a table sponsor or by purchasing a dinner ticket. As a supporter, you’ll demonstrate your philanthropic commitment to Historic Annapolis and its important mission to Preserve, Protect and Connect.
Tickets are $500 each or $3,000 for a table of six. To purchase tickets and get additional information visit annapolis.org or contact Carrie Kiewitt, Sr. Vice President Membership, Communications, Engagement at carrie.kiewitt@annapolis.org or 410.626.1033.
