Did you know that the only Guinness brewery in the United States is less than an hour from Annapolis? The 62-acre site is the only place in the States to try experimental Guinness recipes and embrace more than 260 years of Irish brewing heritage. Over the last four years, the brewery has welcomed over 1,000,000+ guests, brewed 400+ experimental Baltimore beers, hosted thousands of celebrations, dozens of marriage proposals and countless stories shared over pints.
At the Home of Guinness in America, visitors are invited to learn more about centuries of brewing traditions and bold experimentation. The Baltimore taproom shares a spirit of discovery and exploration with its sister brewery in Dublin, Ireland. Paying homage to the long history of Guinness brewers maturing beer in wood barrels, the space was once home to the historic Calvert Whiskey Distillery. Today, Head Brewer Sean Brennan is leading the team crafting one-of-a-kind barrel-aged beers right on site.
The brewery is an incredible space to celebrate with family and friends with three floors and a 2-acre outdoor lawn to enjoy. They currently offer guided-tours, seasonal food menus, an ever-changing taplist, a Guinness gift shop, Perfect Pint Academy, limited-time brewery exclusive beers in cans to-go and more! The taplist includes Baltimore-brewed iconic stout recipes with a spin and unexpected brews with unique ingredients like Blueberry Lime Ale, Pineapple Chicha, Italian-Style Pilsner, Salt and Lime Ale, Mango Chile Ale, Sabro and Mosaic IPA and many more. Can’t make it out this summer? The fan-favorite Baltimore-brewed beers below have been brewed for the Mid-Atlantic and can be found at your local liquor stores:
Baltimore Blonde: The brewery’s flagship beer is brewed on-site in Baltimore. It’s brilliantly clear and citrusy with hints of grapefruit-forward hops.
Belgian Style Wit: This bright, slightly hazy favorite is made with coriander, orange peel, and lemon peel and the peppery finish pairs well with our Fresno Hot Sauce wings.
El Dorado Amber Ale: It's brewed with a hefty dose of caramel malt and features tons of bready aromas and flavors with a serious amount of character.
Salt & Lime Ale: This summer favorite is brewed with tart key lime purée and sea salt from the mouth of The Chesapeake Bay. This beer’s got delicate lime and biscuity flavors and a bright, crisp, clean finish.
In addition to a host of beers to choose from, the brewery’s summer menu is curated to pair the best of the season and region with the beers on tap.
