Maryland 2026 - The Ballet on the Beach Dance Festival returns this September to Assateague Island. Perfect for all ages, experience breathtaking outdoor performances by professional guest artists from leading dance companies & eco talks directly on the beach before sunset. Audiences are invited to bring beach chairs to enjoy the performance. This event is cosponsored by Assateague State Park and the Maryland Park Service, and is scheduled for September 19, 2026 (Rain Date: 9/20)* *In the event of inclement weather on both 9/19 & 9/20, the event will move indoors to the Jackson Family Auditorium in Holloway Hall on the campus of Salisbury University.
