Annapolis, MD – The Annapolis City Manager’s office announced today that Tim Jacobs has been named the new Annapolis Harbormaster. The Harbormaster’s office oversees the daily operations, public docking facilities, and commercial traffic on City waterways to maintain maritime public safety. The position has been vacant since July.
For the past three years, Jacobs has worked in the Harbormaster's Office as the Waterside Operations Supervisor, leading waterway emergency operations and enforcement. Jacobs came to the City of Annapolis after 22 years of Coast Guard experience in operations, team management, and enforcement.
“It is a privilege to continue serving the City of Annapolis,” said Harbormaster-designate Jacobs. “Our harbor is the heart of this community, and I look forward to continuing the work to keep our waterfront thriving for years to come. “
Jacobs’s first day will be September 10.
