Smyth Jewelers, located at the Annapolis Towne Centre, hosted the Bernie House VIP Reception on Thursday, Fe uary 4th.
About 70 guests, including distinguished political figures, attended the event, which kicked off this year's fundraising endeavor, "The Bernie's Angels Campaign."
The Bernie House is a transitional housing program in Montgomery County for families fleeing domestic violence. Due to the organization's success and the need for more transitional housing for domestic violence victims, a second home is planned to be established in Anne Arundel County. The goal of “The Bernie's Angels Campaign” is to raise funds for this new home.
You can support "The Bernie's Angels Campaign" by attending one (or more!) of these upcoming events:
- Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® on Saturday, April 30th at Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis
- The 18th Annual Bernie Hughes Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, June 13th at Glenn Dale Golf Course in Glenn Dale
- The Hometown Get Down (annual grassroots music and arts benefit event) on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th in Clarksburg
- Monte Carlo Night on Friday, October 7th at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie
