The Details
What can guests expect? More than 20 local restaurants and food businesses will offer samples of their finest dishes for guests to try (the list of dishes being served, however, is a closely guarded secret and a point of pride among the restaurateurs!). It's the perfect opportunity to check out a restaurant you've yet to visit and a great way to enjoy the delightful flavors from some of your favorite stops. Many of the chefs and restaurant owners are on hand to greet and mingle with guests, too. For a full list of participating businesses, click here. This year, guests will also enjoy live music, courtesy of a jazz trio.
Food and drinks? The event is designed to showcase the amazing restaurants and food businesses in the area. In short, sample now; eat later. Think of it as light hors d'oeuvres before dinner. Invite a few friends and it's a real party! Our suggestion? Sample the many wonderful treats and then book dinner (or lunch) reservations for the week - and beyond - at your favorites! Each guest also receives two complimentary beverages of choice! For those who want to sip on a few additional libations, a cash bar will be open throughout the afternoon.
What about parking? Street parking is available throughout downtown Easton -- all within walking distance of the Tidewater Inn.
The dress code? Business casual attire is advised, as Cele ate Talbot! is a great place to network. As someone who has attended this event on more than one occasion, I'd encourage guests to leave those snug pants at home, though, so you can comfortably enjoy all the delicious treats and still have some room left to visit your favorite restaurant after all the tastings!
Are tickets still available? Absolutely! Tickets are $45 per person and are available online (via talbotrestaurantweek.com) or, for any locals, swing by the Talbot County Visitor Center located at 11 South Harrison Street. The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week. Advanced ticket purchases are recommended!
