The Details
What can guests expect? Combining elements of funk, rock, hip hop, jazz, gospel, and a host of other genres, it’s impossible for any music lover not to enjoy the band’s self-described “Chesapeake gumbo” sound. Performing songs from their recently recorded CD and some old favorites, with very famous songs sprinkled throughout, Paul Reed Smith guarantees everyone will love this show! The pre-concert reception includes a chance to meet and mingle with the band and to participate in the live auction of a signed PRS SE Custom 24 guitar! Pre-concert ticket holders also receive reserved premium seating for the show. The evening supports Susan G. Komen Maryland and those whose lives are affected by east cancer.
Food and drinks? A beer and wine bar will be available during the pre-concert reception and, even better, VIP ticket holders will receive the first beverage free! Additionally, during the reception, VIPs will get to sample a variety of lite fare. A cash bar will remain open throughout the show.
What about parking? There are several public, metered parking lots in Easton - all of which are free in the evening. The closest to the Avalon sits in between South Harrison and South Washington streets on Glenwood Avenue, just behind the theater. There's also plenty of nearby street parking should the lots be full!
The dress code? It's a fun, informal event, so dress your best -- whether that's comfy and casual or a little more cocktail and classy! And don't forget the pink!
Are tickets still available? Absolutely! Tickets are available in advance online at www.avalontheatre.com, over the phone (410-822-7299), or, if you're in the area, you can swing by the Avalon Theatre box office. And, if you forget to purchase them beforehand, you can still pick them up at the door. General admission tickets are $40; VIP tickets are $75.
Where do the proceeds go? All proceeds from the evening benefit Susan G. Komen Maryland and its community grant programs, which provide access to screenings, treatments, clinical trials, and support services. And while there is no specific monetary goal, the nonprofit organization would love to boast a "sold out" event!
