The Details
What can guests expect? The Hope House Estate, originally home to illustrious members of the Tilghman and Lloyd families, is one of the great historic mansions of Talbot County and one of the best executed restorations of the early 20th century.
Arriving at Hope House, guests will be greeted with three unique cars owned by Dr. Peter Stifel: a 1911 Mercer Raceabout, a 1910 Thomas Flyer, and a 1908 Maxwell. The tour of the home features seven first floor rooms, which are decorated with both colonial and contemporary furniture, art, and unique surprises.
Following the tour, guests will move to the spacious green behind the home, which overlooks Hope Cove and the site of Mrs. Starr’s gardens, to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Additionally, guests will be able to sign up and purchase dinners and events at a wide variety of special locales held throughout the year, such as classic gourmet meals, themed ethnic dinners, barbecues, crab feasts and more. With so many dining experiences to choose from, there's certainly something for everyone and all proceeds from these purchases benefit PCAC -- it's a win-win!
Food and drinks? It's not a sit-down dinner per se, but rest assured the heavy hors d'oeuvres will offer enough sustenance for the evening. And what could be a better companion to the delectable bites than complimentary cocktails?!
What about parking? Plenty of parking is available at the estate and, even better, golf carts will be available to shuttle people the short distance from their parking spot to Hope House.
Are tickets still available? Tickets are available for $125 per person. They can be purchased online or by calling PCAC at 410-822-4903.
The dress code? If you'd wear it to the Country Club, it's perfect for PCAC's gala! It's also good to note that it's an outdoor event, so while it's recommended you dress to impress, be sure to keep the summer temperatures in mind.
