Mix and mingle with friends (and without the kids!) to benefit Hospice of Queen Anne's at its annual Sunset Celebration on Friday, August 22nd. The party takes place at Fisherman's Crab Deck, located at 3116 Main Street in Grasonville. Doors open at 5 p.m.
We spoke with one of the event organizers to get a little inside scoop on this not-to-miss event!

What can guests expect? Treat yourself to an evening without the kids and put the ‘fun’ in fundraising! Guests will vie for jewelry, gift baskets, art work, and more on the silent auction tables, in addition to playing Pick-the-Crab, a game of chance in which everyone is a winner. The game is simple: players donate $20 in exchange for a crab with a number that corresponds to a variety of gift certificates - all of them are worth at least $20, with some as high as $75!
Food and drinks? There is no need to worry about eating before you arrive since food is the centerpiece of the Sunset Celebration.The menu for the picnic-style buffet includes pulled pork, fried chicken, baked beans, and other summer delights. And it wouldn't be a summertime feast without ice-cream sundaes for dessert! Even better, all ticket-holders get to enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks throughout the evening.
What about parking? Parking is free and convenient at the restaurant
The dress code? It's a fairly casual event, so guests are encouraged to dress down. We were told to "pull on your shorts, slip on your flip flops!"
