Help restore the Chesapeake Bay while enjoying a fun night out during the 18th Annual Treasure the Chesapeake Cele ation. From fabulous food to awesome entertainment, this party is one you don't want to miss!
Last year's event saw more than 400 supporters join the nonprofit organization to raise $91,000 to fund its restoration, education and community outreach efforts. Check out all the details below... and grab your tickets before they sell out!
Fun fact: Perhaps one of Maryland's most popular license plate designs (pictured in the gallery below!), the Chesapeake Bay Trust is the organization that receives the Bay Plate funds. If you've yet to purchase yours, don't delay! For only $20, you can support the Bay -- and show off your commitment to its restoration! Visit bayplate.org for more information.

The Details
What can guests expect? An evening of fantastic fare, delicious drinks, entertainment, and more -- all to benefit Chesapeake Bay Trust. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a silent auction, casino games, and music, followed by dinner, a raffle, and dancing. Adding some extra excitement this year: corn hole and fire pits on the patio!
Food and drinks? There's no need to worry about pre- or post-event eating, since the party includes appetizers and dinner. Shrimp, chicken skewers, crab cakes, crab dip, seared vegetables, and a cheeseboard are some of the delectable items available throughout the evening, along with fresh-shucked oysters and a pasta and carving station. For those of us with a sweet tooth, an assortment of dessert bars will close the menu, including Oreo Dream Meltaways, Luscious Lemon Bars, and Mocha Cheesecake. And it wouldn't be a party without a drink or two -- and these ones are on the house, courtesy of the evening's open bar!
What about parking? Street parking is available throughout downtown Annapolis
The dress code? Business casual. The weather has always been beautiful for this event (cross your fingers that tradition continues!) so most of the guests spend the evening out on the patio overlooking the Annapolis Harbor. A waterfront location means temperatures can get a little chilly once the sun sets, so we recommend inging a sweater! Still not sure what to wear? Check out our photo gallery from last year.
Are tickets still available? Absolutely! Tickets are $100, and can be purchased online or by calling 410-974-2941, x113.
Where do the proceeds go? All proceeds support the Chesapeake Bay Trust, a nonprofit, grant-making organization dedicated to sparking on-the-ground change for the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries in Maryland. Since 1985, the Trust has awarded more than $80 million in grants for Bay restoration projects, environmental education programs, and meaningful conservation efforts. In 2015, the Chesapeake Bay Trust and its grantees planted almost 198,000 native trees and plants, restored 95 acres of buffers and wetlands, created 3,397 feet of living shorelines, and removed 72 tons of trash and 46 acres of invasive species from area streams and rivers. As a result of these efforts, the Trust's supporters can rest assured that any donation will be used wisely for what it was intended: to help restore the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams.
