Art at the Academy Art Museum and the Waterfowl Building in Easton provided the backdrop for the museum's Annual Spring Party on Saturday, May 7th. The Museum featured Paulette Tavormina's photographs of still life arrangements recalling the sumptuous detail of 17th century Old Master still life painters, while the Waterfowl Building offered the artwork of artist Ruth Starr Rose, who captured a rare glimpse into African American life in the mid-20th century on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The event included cocktails and dinner, with entertainment provided by the Van Williamson Quintet. The evening netted more than $190,000 to benefit AAM.
