Rotary Club of St. Michaels Donates Supplies to Talbot Hospice
The Rotary Club of St. Michaels dropped off supplies to Talbot Hospice as an annual program to help Talbot Hospice care with their growing population. It has become a traditional, annual club community service project to provide about three months worth of housekeeping and hospitality supplies for the three new hospitality rooms where guests can meet privately with friends and family. Foundation Grant Expands Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum's Education Programs
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum received a $60,000 grant from the Wallace Genetic Foundation of Washington, D.C. to support a new boatshop educational program for local sixth-graders, and a new bus scholarship program that helps students from throughout the Delmarva region participate in CBMM’s curriculum-based programs and field trips. The new bus scholarship program is designed to boost student visitation from states through the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The scholarships will prioritize Title 1 schools, providing disadvantaged students the opportunity to explore the Chesapeake first-hand. CBMM is seeking additional support for full funding and anticipates launching both programs in 2016. For more information visit Cbmm.org.
