Annapolis, MD - The United States Naval Academy (USNA) through the Naval Academy Business Services Division (NABSD) has been awarded the Gold Award in the Employee Development Program of the Year category in the prestigious 2024 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards, organized by the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS).
The Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards are the ultimate professional tribute to college and university culinary arts. Named after NACUFS founder and past president, Loyal E. Horton, the awards recognize excellence in menus, presentations, special event planning, and new dining concepts. The awards celebrate the innovative ideas and successful implementation of these programs highlighting institutions that set benchmarks for quality and innovation in campus dining.
NABSD has demonstrated outstanding commitment to employee development, earning the Gold Award in a competitive category that places emphasis on growing and nurturing team members at all levels. This comprehensive program focuses on continuous training, career advancement opportunities, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment for all.
The winners were recognized and celebrated at the awards luncheon during the NACUFS National Conference In Louisville, KY.
NABSD is a non-appropriated fund instrumentality program whose mission is to excel in delivering retail products and services to the Brigade of Midshipmen. The Naval Academy Business Services Division (NABSD) supports the Brigade of Midshipmen by providing profits generated from its 22-plus business units back to the Brigade of Midshipmen to fund a variety of extracurricular activities, club sports, and quality of life initiatives.
