The golf tournament will be a fun day of events and a good way to help children who do not have the ability to help themselves. Besides having a great day playing 18 holes of golf, the tournament will include prizes for special contests, on course contests, hole-in-ones, and a hole-in-one car prize.brThe Eisenhower Golf Course takes golfers through forestland, around a beautiful lake and near many creeks and swales. It welcomes golfers of all abilities. The money raised from this event will help provide CASA volunteers to be voices in the courts for abused and neglected children in the AAC foster care system.

This looped five-mile trail race through Terrapin Nature Park covers pavement, trail and bit of beach. Runners will take in the beautiful sites along the Chesapeake Bay, including the Bay Bridge, then head to The Jetty Restaurant and Dock Bar for a post-race celebration (one free beer per runner of age!). The run fittingly benefits the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the waterways that comprise the Choptank River watershed, Eastern Bay, and the Miles and Wye Rivers.

This looped five-mile trail race through Terrapin Nature Park covers pavement, trail and bit of beach. Runners will take in the beautiful sites along the Chesapeake Bay, including the Bay Bridge, then head to The Jetty Restaurant and Dock Bar for a post-race celebration (one free beer per runner of age!). The run fittingly benefits the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the waterways that comprise the Choptank River watershed, Eastern Bay, and the Miles and Wye Rivers.

brThe 11th annual Taste of the Town (& County) is here! Spend an afternoon sampling signature dishes from Chestertown & Kent County's finest restaurants and caterers in the beautiful Fountain Park. Featured dishes range from nouvelle gourmet to regional classics such as Maryland Crab Soup. Diners will want to come early to view the Paint the Town artwork exhibited in the park as well.

The 5K Run/Walk is the organization’s largest awareness and fundraising event. The event will feature a survivors' parade, music, dancing, vendors, silent auction, live performances, prizes, refreshments, kid's activities, free health screenings, plenty of individual and team incentives, and lots of family fun!

At the hippest fashion show on four paws, Softies—big, animal-loving influencers from the Show Your Soft Side campaign—will strut the runway “modeling” some of the adorable dogs and cats available for adoption from BARCS. Proceeds from the event will benefit BARCS and its mission to find forever homes for homeless and abandoned animals, and Show Your Soft Side as it continues to change the mindset of young people who view torturing defenseless animals as tough. All guests are invited to attend an after party where they can mingle with the modeling Softies at Hotel Indigo.
