brWhile Eldredge has been known for his impeccable vocals, he gives fans a taste of his quirky and outgoing personality in his newest single, “Something I’m Good At,” which made its television debut at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards. The song is part of his forthcoming self-titled album set for release August 4th.

Race Across America

brOften named the World's Toughest Endurance Race and heralded as the World Championship of Ultracycling for 36 years, the Race Across America will finish in Annapolis for the second year running in June at Susan Campbell Park. This race draws an international field of races from 20+ countries and is followed around the world. Racers raise over $1.5 million collectively per year, covering 30+ charities. Each racer has the opportunity to compete solo or in team relay sizes of two, four, or eight. Racers must cycle 3,000 miles, across 12 states, and climb over 170,000 vertical feet. Race Across America is a true test of speed, endurance, strength, and camaraderie, the ideal combination of work and play. Solo start will begin on Tuesday, June 13th and team start on Saturday, June 17th. Team racers have a maximum of nine days to finish the race while the solo racers have a maximum of 12.

brKayaking is one of the best ways to experience the wonders of these wetlands. Sign up for one of the monthly Guided Kayaks Tours from May-October. Courtney Leigh, CBEC’s Volunteer/Adult Education Coordinator and Certified Interpretive Guide, will guide you through basic kayak instruction and then will lead you on a paddle to explore the watershed of Marshy Creek. Tours are designed to give participants, beginners and intermediate levels, an introduction to the basic skills of kayaking. Paddling techniques, vessel orientation, loading and unloading, and kayaking safety will be covered. No experience is necessary. An estimated 2 hours of paddling time is scheduled. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. $15/CBEC members, $20/non-members.

brMRC and the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals are partnering to bring this fun event to the community. Paddlers will launch kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards from Easton Point Marina to enjoy a six-mile paddle on the Tred Avon River. Paddlers will end back at Easton Point Marina, where there will be live music, food trucks, beverages, and great prizes. Along the paddle route, paddlers can pick up poker cards. Winning hands receive prizes. Registration includes an event tee shirt, one free drink ticket. Safety boats will be positioned throughout the course. Participants are required to provide their own personal floatation device (PFD) and should bring water and snacks to have during the paddle. Bring your own kayak, canoe or paddleboard or rent one from Easton Cyle and Sport, Easton Point Marina, or Shore Pedal and Paddle.
