brThis year’s 19th annual Arts Alive Gala kicks off in a giant “tent under the stars” on Maryland Hall’s front driveway with an extensive silent auction of unique and rare items and experiences. Tasting stations featuring signature dishes and drinks donated by area restaurants, caterers, and hotels will allow guests to sample delicious food throughout the evening.

Activities for the whole family abound including a treasure hunt, crab races, face painting, kid’s activities and more!

The almost continuous entertainment on all 10 stages features many returning favorite performers! Music fills the village, from sea chanties to Celtic drums, you’ll move to the rhythm of more than 100 musical performers.

Friday night at the Garfield Center for the Arts, Hannah Gill and the Hours will rock the house with their combination of 70s lo-fi pop and rock with contemporary soul and blues. On Saturday, the music begins at Wilmer Park with a gospel music opening followed by Capitol Focus, John Thomas Quartet, Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet, Jazz Academy of Music, and Joey DeFrancesco.

Funds raised support CBMM’s mission to inspire an understanding of and appreciation for the rich maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal reaches, together with the artifacts, cultures, and connections between this place and its people.

Proceeds from the event are used to keep all of the programs operational. The 10K race starts at 5:30 p.m. with the 5K following at 6 p.m.
