Musician Seth Glier Finds Inspiration in Unexpected Places

brbrWhen putting together an album, artists can find inspiration from the unlikeliest of places. For Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, Seth Glier, that inspiration was his brother…and birds.
br brThe Massachusetts native recently released his newest album, Birds, which follows the success of If I Could Change One Thing released in 2015.
brbrGlier uses his musical talent to give listeners insight to the issues Americans are facing today. This can be heard in his newest single, “Water On Fire,” which confronts today’s controversy of fracking, exploring the falsehood between freedom and capitalism. “Justice For All,” challenges the death penalty while “For What It’s Worth,” is a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s protest song.
brbrThroughout the 11-song track list, Glier expresses a virtuoso use of emotions from grief and loss to strength and optimism.
brbrCatch Glier on Thursday, September 21st, 8 p.m. in the Stoltz Listening room at the Avalon Theatre as part of his headlining tour through the U.S. Tickets are $25.

brShe spent over a decade denying her metaphysical abilities, but finally began to accept her gift and pursue her calling. Wojciechowski has studied with several Mediums from around the world, has taken a variety of certification courses, and has now devoted her life to being a Medium.
brThis month, she will be hosting an event at the Avalon Theatre in the Stoltz Listening Room in Easton. The show will take place on Saturday, September 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Why the Baltimore Seafood Festival? Baltimoreans are so proud of their crab cakes, crab soup, shrimp salad, local oysters, and of course, Maryland blue crabs. It seems fitting to host a waterfront festival showcasing some of Baltimore’s favorite restaurants serving their signature seafood dishes! Toss in refreshing drinks, live music, cooking demos, and an area for families with toys, games, faces painting and more, and you have the Baltimore Seafood Festival – the only large scale seafood festival in Baltimore City. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local non-profits.

brGrab your four-legged friend and head over to DogFest on Saturday, September 16th, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Baltimore Humane Society. DogFest is a dog day extravaganza for pets and pet lovers. The family fun day includes a walk, tons of dog and kid’s activities, games, dog swimming, a huge agility course, food, dog rescue groups, and contests! Lots for the kids including crafts, fitness obstacle course, Irvine Nature Center display, pet Jeopardy, cubby barks, and new this year, Bubble Ball!
