The sun may be setting on summer, and soon enough the temperatures will begin to cool, but Maryland’s music scene is holding onto the summer heat. 9 to 5 The Musical – Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre
Thursday, August 30th through Sunday, September 2nd, 8:30 p.m.
See 9 to 5 The Musical during the final weekend of Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre’s 2018 season. Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy, and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot!

Each autumn, the 27-acre Village of Revel Grove in Crownsville comes to life with food, entertainment, and merriment during the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Now in its 42nd season, the festival kicks-off August 25th and runs Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day Monday through October 21st. Enjoy nine weekends of jousting matches, juggling, handmade crafts, feasting, and more.
Pops in the Park – Quiet Waters Park

To set the tone for an exciting 2018-19 season, The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, once again, presents the very popular Pops in the Park concert. The Symphony has prepared an exciting program of well-known film scores in support of the Music from Film theme. Set in the beautiful outdoor theater at Quiet Waters Park, this year’s program is filled with many festive and well-loved pieces from films like The Titanic, Chicago, and Superman and features composers such as Copland, Rossini, and Handel.

Monty Alexander Jazz Festival – Avalon Theatre, Easton

The Monty Alexander Jazz Festival returns to Easton for the ninth year! This year the ever-swingin’ Monty Alexander festival programming is phenomenal! Enjoy an exciting lineup that will encompass some of the best jazz musicians in the country.
Charity Boat Auction – Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels
Saturday, September 1st, 11 a.m.
The live auction begins at 11am along CBMM’s waterfront campus, where more than 90 boats—ranging in size and performance from sailing dinghies to cabin cruisers, and everything in between—will be auctioned off to the highest bidders.
St. Michaels Art League Show and Sale – St. Luke’s Methodist Church, St. Michaels
Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd, 10 a.m.
Join members of the St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) for their biggest event, the annual “Under the Tent” Labor Day Weekend Show and Sale. Artwork by more than 30 SMAL artists in multiple mediums will be featured, and hundreds of works depicting local scenes will be for sale. Maryland Sportsman and Outdoor Show – Howard County Fairgrounds
Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd, 10 a.m.
This two-day event will feature over 100 vendors, offering great values on hunting and fishing gear, clothing, ATVs, boats, RVs, and trucks. Enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities, including a DockDog diving competition, a cornhole tournament, a 4x4 show, and waterfowl and turkey calling competitions.
