Commissioners and museum staff preparing to join the 2022 Juneteenth parade.
Annapolis, MD - Banneker-Douglass Museum is in need of volunteers for this year's Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration. Scheduled to take place Saturday, June 17th, 2023, 12:00 p.m., the museum, the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture, and friends and foundation groups will all be participating and would love to have you join them for this celebratory event!
Volunteering would involve walking the parade route and greeting onlookers, carrying/handling our parade banner, and distributing paraphernalia to parade attendees. Of course everything we do will be in alignment with current COVID-19 restrictions as our main priority is to keep everyone safe.
You can find more information about all of the activities associated with this fun-filled and educational weekend here.
