Volunteers Needed
Sarah’s House is a Homeless Shelter and Transitional Housing Program located in Fort Meade, Maryland. As a Supportive Housing Program for homeless families, Sarah’s House is much more than just a safe place to sleep. At Sarah’s House, we aim to support those in need by providing safe shelter, daily meals, and casework. Sarah’s House provides services such as individualized Case Plans, education, employment, child care, life skills, Mental Health counseling, and Substance Abuse counseling. Sarah’s House serves up to 125 adults and children daily in our Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Programs.
Sarah’s House is able to provide this array of services as a result of numerous volunteers, along with generous contributions from members of the community. You can help make a difference in the lives of families we serve at any point in time during the year.
Volunteer opportunities range from serving a meal, helping with childcare services so that parents can attend classes, tutoring a child or an adult, or sorting donations.
