Today's Moon Phase according to NASA (Click Here)
Third Quarter: "As it reaches the three-quarter point in its month, the Moon once again shows us one side of its disc illuminated and the other side in darkness. However, the side that we saw dark at the first quarter phase is now the lit side."

Pickerel: Pickerel are still biting in the rivers such as the Magothy, Severn and Patapsco, as well as the eastern shore mill ponds that are thankfully no longer frozen over! While the air temperature has warmed up, water temperatures are still very cold, so fish are still sluggish. Jerk baits have been producing really well! A slow presentation is key, giving it a couple of second pause in between jerks, Minnows under a bobber are also working really well.
Yellow Perch are starting to show up at Beachwood on the Magothy and the typical eastern shore spots on the upper Choptank and Tuckahoe Creek. Try using a feather jig or minnow under bobber!
Large Mouth Bass: A slow presentation and small lures are working really well for large mouth bass on Eastern Shore ponds as well! Try a finesse bait such as the “baby goat” from Z-man on a light jig head!
Rockfish: Rockfish are still holding tight to the bottom in deep water, 30-60 feet, all along the middle bay! Look for gradual drop offs, and use your electronics to find them! Use heavier, 1, 1.5 or even 2 oz jig heads with larger profile plastics. Metal jigs are also still working really well! Use between one and three ounces depending on the current, and make sure that you can feel the bottom!
