Wellness House of Annapolis Welcomes Deborah Chin, CAE, as Director of Development & Communications
ANNAPOLIS, MD —As Wellness House of Annapolis celebrates its 20th anniversary of serving the community, the organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Chin, CAE, as its new Director of Development & Communications.
For 20 years, Wellness House of Annapolis has been a haven for hope, healing, and connection for individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer. Through emotional support, children's programs, healthy living services, and educational opportunities, Wellness House empowers individuals and families to navigate their cancer journey with strength, resilience, and a caring community by their side.
Chin is a nonprofit executive dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities through philanthropy, strategic partnerships, and organizational leadership. With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and strategic development, she has helped mission-driven organizations build sustainable fundraising programs, cultivate meaningful donor relationships, launch innovative initiatives, and create collaborative cultures where inclusion, belonging, mentorship, and innovation thrive.
As Director of Development & Communications, Chin will lead the nonprofit’s fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and philanthropic partnership strategies to expand support for Wellness House's mission and ensure that its free programs remain available to every member who needs them.
“Everyone will be touched by cancer in some way—whether through a friend, colleague, family member, or personally,” said Chin. “For me, that person was my mom. Wellness House was there for us when we needed them most. It is now my mission to help ensure that the compassion, hope, serenity, and healing found here will continue.”

Wellness House provides a welcoming community where members find emotional support, connection, education, and hope throughout their cancer journey.
All programs are provided free of charge—individuals and families are never charged to participate in support groups, children's programs, equine-assisted wellness experiences, healthy living classes, or educational workshops. Programs include professionally facilitated support groups for children, teens, and adults; therapeutic programs that help children understand and cope with a loved one's cancer diagnosis; equine therapy; yoga; meditation; Reiki; therapeutic art; nutrition education; and other wellness offerings. Every program is designed to strengthen resilience, foster healing, and empower individuals and families to navigate cancer together.
