
Friends of the Light House Golf Tournament
October 8th, 9 a.m.; Renditions Golf Course, Davidsonville
Join the Friends of The Light House for their 17th annual golf tournament at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville. Registration will start at 7:30 with a drive through check-in station and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Following the tournament will be a lunch, raffle, prizes and awards. All of the proceeds will benefit The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center.
Theresa Sise & Sweet Tea Debut
October 9th, 7 p.m.; Avalon Theatre, Easton
Theresa Sise & Sweet Tea bring their show “Everybody’s Crying Mercy” to The Avalon Theatre in Easton, Maryland for a live performance. Sets will feature nostalgic fall chestnuts like “September in the Rain” along with topical tunes addressing our shared experiences (“Give Me the Simple Life”). Get ready for eye-opening social satire from Mose Allison (“Everybody’s Crying Mercy” and “Your Mind is on Vacation”) and a bit of inspiration from the beloved Muppet movie classic, “Rainbow Connection.” Sweet Tea includes sought after players from both sides of the Bay Bridge: drummer Frank Russo, bassist Max Murray and pianist Darius Scott.

Downtown Annapolis Sidewalk Sale
October 10th, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Main Street, Maryland Ave, West Street, and Green Street
This weekend has traditionally filled downtown Annapolis with sailboat buyers. This year the goal is to bring in retail shoppers to visit the 90 downtown retail stores to buy a new outfit, jewelry, home décor, art, wine, or gift items. In keeping with safety protocols, shoppers are asked to wear their masks, social distance, and to use hand sanitizer throughout the day. Downtown Annapolis will also be filled with fun outdoor activities for people to enjoy. Fall enthusiasts can have a photo op at the three giant pumpkin displays located near the Market House, St. Anne's Church, and Lemongrass Restaurant or stop by Gallery 57 West and check out the Pumpkin Art Exhibit that benefits the Lighthouse Shelter. Sports fans can watch pickleball Tournaments happening on West Street, on the top of Hillman Garage, and on City Dock. Everyone can play a game of table tennis on West Street and City Dock and foodies will have a wide range of outdoor dining options throughout downtown Annapolis.
Arundel Lodge’s Hop Re-Imagined: All Aboard

Join the virtual party in your living room with silent auctions, raffles, entertainment and visits with staff and viewing of the Open Eye Gallery, visual arts program. Raise awareness, eliminate stigma, and make a difference. This event, hosted by Arundel Lodge, will bring community awareness to the matter of mental health disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, and more and fight the stigma that prevents individuals in the community from getting the help they need.
Art-A Pumpkin for a Cause

Swim the South River
October 11th, 7 a.m.; Hillsmere Community Beach, Annapolis
Swim the South River is a 5-mile swim course designed for athletes to compete solo or with partner(s). Relay pods take turn swimming and paddling on a SUP while solo swimmers enjoy the river with their own paddle assist. The mission of the event is to promote open water swimming and to support the preservation efforts of the Arundel Rivers Federation. We are a gathering of novice & accomplished athletes swimming without the allure of podiums or course records, but for the joys of the wild, open water experience!
48th Annual Black Student and Latino Student Fund Independent School Fair

The BSF/LSF Annual School Fair is a forum for Washington metropolitan area families to learn about independent school education and engage students, teachers, and administrators from more than 70 local and national independent schools and educational programs. Register now for Casey Cares 17th Annual Golf Tournament at Cattail Creek Country Club! This is our first in-person event of 2020, so we are pulling out all the stops! We had a blast last year at this sell-out event and expect the spots to go even quicker this year. Enjoy Maryland’s beautiful autumn weather and support our ongoing, palliative programs for critically ill children. Prizes will be awarded for the men and ladies’ longest drive, men and ladies’ closest to the pin, top foursome and more! Spend a day on the course while supporting our kids!
