Drawing from jazz, country, blues and old-school rock and roll, she has employed all of her influences and talents on a tour-de-force, while cleverly taking standard perspectives and ideas, like the definition of a love song, to task. However varied Tess’s music can be, front and center sits her voice that has been described as “alternately seductive and sexy, and a pure joy to listen to” (Pop Matters). Her music is further heightened by her partner, Thomas Bryan Eaton, who helps to shape the songs and arrangements with a deft touch on guitar & pedal steel.

MC3 will present a solo exhibit by Sunhee Kim Jung, Haven for the Soul which is made up of a 17 paintings series. For the past year Sunhee had a feeling that she was isolated on a deserted island due to the pandemic. Ironically, she was able to find some peace in the middle of the isolation. Sunhee explains, “A deserted Island is a mysterious place and it certainly can be an isolated location but it can also be a shelter where people can find rest and peace. The paintings in this exhibit represent that place. Each leaf, having its own unique color, symbolizes all different emotions working together harmoniously. Creating a haven for the soul”.
