St. Patrick's Day in St. Michaels

St. Michaels will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a few special events. The annual Carpenter Street Saloon shopping cart races are held every year on St. Patrick’s Day at Midnight. Proceeds benefit the St. Michaels and Tilghman Fire Departments. Participating businesses will have specials all weekend long. Buy a personalized shamrock to adorn the street! $50 each to support the St. Michaels Police Department “S.M.Y.L.E” Program (St. Michaels Youth Law Enforcement) which is a great program which educates kids about law enforcement.

Easton’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrates community pride with Irish style! Join us for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Thursday, March 17th, 2022. Parade begins at 5:30pm. Come downtown and watch a fun lineup of carts and marching bands liven up the streets! After the Parade join us for the Potato Race and cheer on your favorite contestants!
Unity Bands Restaurant Give Up
March 18th; Chick-fil-a, Pasadena
An Arnold-based nonprofit is building a movement to support COVID-19 response and research efforts including frontline workers, variant research, and patients. Unity Bands Inc partnered with two classic American brands, Steak 'n Shake in Millersville and Chick-fil-A in Pasadena Crossroads, to host givebacks in March with a portion of sales going to local pandemic response efforts. Through fundraising efforts such as restaurant givebacks, a minor league baseball giveaway, and the sale of branded merchandise, the Unity Bands community donated over $13,000 to COVID-19 foundations in three states, including Baltimore Washington Medical Center and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Donations contributed to frontline resiliency efforts, feeding the frontlines, COVID-19 kits, and virus research.
Annapolis Opera: Into the Woods

Along the way they meet two princes, Red Riding Hood, Jack (and the Beanstalk), Rapunzel, and Cinderella, each pursuing their own wish, in Stephen Sondheim’s magical tale of love and adventure.
Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit

ShoreRivers and Washington College Center for Environment and Society will co-host the Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Gibson Center for the Arts on Washington College’s campus in Chestertown. Student registration will open this winter; apply now to become a Summit Student Leader.
Volunteer Tree Planting with Choptank Riverkeeper
March 19th and March 22nd; Trappe (3/19) and Preston (3/22)
Come help support the Envision the Choptank partnership in planting over 1,600 native plants and shrubs. Plantings will be this month in Trappe, MD and Preston, MD. No experience is necessary and families, children accompanied by an adult, and groups are welcome. Registration is required. Visit cbf.org/mdrestoration to register.
Glen Burnie High School Spring Craft Fair

Spring is just around the corner at the annual Glen Burnie High School Spring Craft Fair sponsored by the GBHS Music Department. Join us as over 140 crafters display their unique arts and crafts. Shop for one of a kind wood crafts, home goods, jewelry, glassware, spring decorations, baked goods and many more handmade items. Stop by the cafe for some popcorn, a sandwich or a drink as you shop. Grand Opening Celebration for the Museum of Historic Annapolis
March 19, 1:00 p.m.; Historic Annapolis Museum
We will kick off the morning with a Grand Opening Ceremony* at 10 am across the street from the Museum, then parade to 99 Main Street with the Naptown Brass Band leading the way! Following a ribbon cutting, the Museum and additional HA sites will offer grand opening activities all day, starting at 11:30 am.
Annapolis Oyster Roast and Sock Burning

“Say goodbye to winter, only deck shoes we wear! Though the socks we burn leave a stink in the air!” So reads the poem recited each year as hundreds of Annapolitans gather around a waterfront bonfire at the Annapolis Maritime Museum to burn the smelliest, winter-worn socks found. After a hiatus during the pandemic, the Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning is back to celebrate the maritime culture of the Eastport community and all things Chesapeake Bay. Join us on Saturday, March 19th from 12:00-4:00
