Art Between the Creeks Spring Show

Art Between the Creeks will host an opening reception for the public for its spring exhibit "AI: Artist Integrity" from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 9 at Backyard Boats. Free beverages and snacks; donations/tips benefit the Box of Rain youth program at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Artwork on display from June 9 - 18; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sundays noon- 5 p.m. Check or credit cards accepted for art purchases.

You’ll have a choice of three distances, 30, 40 or 62.5 miles which wind through the flat farmland and take you to water views, wooden bridges and friendly faces throughout the Eastern Shore. Annapolis Arts Week, the week-long celebration of the arts will be abbreviated this year to Annapolis Arts Day as its organizers prepare to launch a larger scale program in 2024. On Saturday June 10, the festivities will include ways to celebrate and engage with the arts in and around the Annapolis Arts District - from Maryland Hall to Church Circle and beyond.The Maryland Federation of the Art will host their Paint Annapolis Exhibition opening reception from 5-7pm at their pop-up gallery at 4 Church Circle where awards for the public and student artists will be announced.

By joining the Maryland Half Marathon & 5K, you can run with purpose, helping to raise critical dollars to support innovations in cancer research that will lead to better treatments and save more lives. Participants can select from two distance options: the 13.1-mile half marathon and the 5K race. Registration is $75 for the half marathon and $40 for the 5K and includes an official race t-shirt, 15th-anniversary socks, race medal, and access to a runner’s dashboard.
Lavender Festival at Smokey Cat Farm

This is a free community event. Registered youth participants will receive a free t-shirt and summit pack! Adolescence is a crucial period for developing and maintaining social and emotional habits important for mental well-being. Young people continue to face increasing challenges in their daily lives. Many teens lack essential interpersonal communication skills, which prevent them from articulating their struggles. Art works as a preventative and positive coping mechanism. Supportive environments in the family, at school and in the wider community are also of critical importance. This interactive summit will help young people and their parents understand how different, free or low-cost, art forms can be used as positive outlets when facing mental health challenges.

Bands in the Sand is the party of the year, and you won’t want to miss it! Each summer 1,600 guests gather on the beach, dance the night away, and raise a drink to a saved Bay.
Not only is it the most fun event of the summer, but it is vital to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s mission to save the Bay. With support from our guests and sponsors, this event has raised over $4 million in support of our education and restoration efforts. A Grand (re)Opening for the Noah Hillman Parking Garage in Downtown Annapolis is on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 from 4-6 p.m., with live music, giveaways, and free parking. Free Parking at the new Hillman Parking Garage is between the Grand Opening and Monday, June 19th in order to encourage residents and visitors to check out the new garage and celebrate by shopping and dining downtown.
