St. Michaels Concerts in the Park
June 16th, 6 p.m.; St. Michaels Community Center
The St. Michaels Community Center’s free, waterfront Summer Concert Series is returning on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to Muskrat Park in St. Michaels beginning June 16 and continuing through Sept. 1. The concert series starts with the sounds and melodies of local favorite JCT33 playing their ‘little bit country, little bit rock 'n roll.’ All 12 performances are listed on the St. Michaels Community Center’s website.

Enjoy the Rock, Soul, and Pop music of Sweet Leda at our Museum Campus. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating. Admission is free but $10 donation is appreciated. Beverages are available for purchase and food trucks on site. No outside food or drinks.
Antique & Classic Boat Festival & The Arts at Navy Point
June 17th to 19th; Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
Wooden classics, vintage race boats, and other antique and Chesapeake Bay-related boats come to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum for the annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival and The Arts at Navy Point in St. Michaels, Md. Hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society (ACBS). This Father’s Day weekend event brings an era of by-gone days.

The United States Navy Band performs a free community concert! Join us for the live outdoor show as part of the Front Stairs Series. The Concerts on the Avenue series features the United States Navy Concert Band, Sea Chanters, Cruisers, and Navy Ceremonial Guard. This family-friendly concert features a variety of musical genres, including current radio hits and iconic American music as well as patriotic standards.

Celebrate pride month with us during Annapolis Town Center’s PridePalooza. Enjoy food trucks, games, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, henna, tie-dye and more! A portion of the ticket sales will go to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. Shirts to tie-dye will be provided while supplies last! One ticket per person includes tie-dye (while supplies last), crafts and games.

The mission of the Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration is to commemorate the emancipation of the last enslaved Africans in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived to Galveston, Texas to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation. Although the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued over two years prior, the news was withheld from many enslaved Africans. Today, we celebrate the freedom and continued legacy of resistance, empowerment, and community building.

Profs & Pints Annapolis: Nation of Drunkards

Profs and Pints Annapolis presents: “Nation of Drunkards," a history of alcohol in America, with award-winning historian Matthew R. Pembleton, adjunct professorial lecturer at American University and author of Containing Addiction: The Federal Bureau of Narcotics and the Origins of America’s Global Drug War. The United States is sometimes described as a “nation of drunkards,” and the (often excessive) consumption of alcohol is about as American as apple pie. Yet so, too, are intense arguments about the harm and impact of drink on American life. The same nation that once consumed an average of five to seven gallons of liquor per person per year also embarked on the hopeless quest of Prohibition and launched a War on Drugs.
