Through August 6th; Town of Annapolis
What's better than National Oyster Day? National Oyster WEEK, of course! That's right; EAT OYSTERS AND LOCAL SEAFOOD ALL WEEK LONG AUG. 1-6! Oysters clean Chesapeake Bay waters and provide habitat for other (delicious!) species like blue crabs, rockfish, and white perch. Did you know that eating oysters and recycling their shells leads to more oysters returned to the Bay? One reclaimed shell becomes a home for 10X as many babies! ORP, the nonprofit expert in Chesapeake Bay oyster restoration, relies on Shell Recycling Alliance restaurants to provide shell critical for oyster restoration efforts.

August 4th through 30th; Maryland Hall
GROUNDED is a work of extraordinary psychological intensity. It is the story of a female ace fighter pilot who, after interrupting her career to have a child, has been removed from flight duty and reassigned to operating drone missions in hostile territory. Against the background of removal from flying an actual aircraft – a job she loved – the protagonist is reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols half a world away.
