250 Anniversary Special Tour Series: Furniture Tour

This tour will look into the furniture collection at the Hammond-Harwood House including chairs, sideboards and desks/bookcases. The tour will highlight some of John Shaw’s finest pieces and discuss the world in which Shaw lived in late 18th century Annapolis. The tour will be led by Robert Biddle, Hammond-Harwood House Trustee and Docent Director.

Unique among most festivals, including renaissance festivals, the Maryland Renaissance Festival utilizes a storyline and progresses each year forward in the timeline of Henry VIII, through all his reign and all six of his wives. This season the year is 1536, and as ever, the King’s love life is the source of gossip. The royal story is played out in stage shows and in improvisations throughout the festival grounds.

The Annapolis Ten Mile Run is a 10-mile foot race organized by the Annapolis Striders, Inc., a 1000 member, all volunteer, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, established in 1978, in Annapolis Maryland that promotes physical fitness and mental well-being through distance running. The race is conducted according to the road racing guidelines of the Road Runners Club of America.
Anne Arundel County River Days Festival

This summer the Anne Arundel County Executive’s Office will host five River Days festivals at different waterfront locations throughout the county.
