29th Annual Native American Festival

Join the Nause-Waiwash Band of Indians for their Native American Festival on September 18-19 from 10am to 4pm. The festival features traditional dancers, singers, drumming, crafts, artists’ demonstrations, authentic Native food, a large silent auction and more. This event is organized by the Nause Waiwash Band of Indians, made up of descendants of local Nanticoke Indians. They pride themselves in preserving their history, enhancing our culture and maintaining their traditions through education; now and for generations to come.

BSO Presents Toy Story in Concert

Walt Disney’s Toy Story was the first entirely computer-generated animation feature film and has become a perennial family favorite. Follow the adventures of Woody, an old-fashioned pull-string cowboy doll, and Buzz Lightyear, an astronaut action figure, as the Orchestra performs the score live.

The Maryland Wine Festival® returns to the Carroll County Farm Museum for the 37th annual celebration of Maryland wine. Wine enthusiasts are invited to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Farm Museum while exploring delicious, local wine, shopping from juried artisans, and dancing to live music! All passes to the 2021 Maryland Wine Festival® include admission to the Farm Museum’s festival grounds. Enjoy the living history of this 143-acre historic farm while taking in the festival’s sights, sounds, and tastes! The Elf Classic Yacht Race returns to the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday, Sept.18, 2021, with the traditional yacht race taking place again this year on the Miles River in St. Michaels, Md. The annual race is jointly sponsored by the Classic Yacht Restoration Guild and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, with proceeds benefitting both organizations.

Based out of Annapolis, MD, we host an annual sailing regatta each September to raise funds and awareness of participating local non-profit hospices. This year Hospice Cup celebrates 40 years of raising sails, funds, and awareness for hospice care. Participating hospices use funds raised through Hospice Cup to continue to offer quality end-of-life care to patients, their families, and friends.
Annapolis Out of Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide

However, the date and location will not be confirmed until the end of February as we are waiting for the football schedule to be finalized. Banneker Douglass Museum Reopening Block Party

Annapolis Run for the Lighthouse
September 19th, 8 - 11 a.m.; Quiet Waters Park
The annual Annapolis Run for The Light House provides scenic Half-Marathon, 5K, and 1.25 mile walk routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. This race event is unlike any other in the greater Annapolis area! All proceeds from the Run for The Light House will benefit The Light House in Annapolis, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty. This year's race will be both in-person and virtual so anyone can participate!

The 2021 Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run is scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Participants can register at: 911heroesrun.org/Annapolis Hosted by the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), the Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run includes a 5K and 1M Family Fun Run along with a 5K GORUCK division that unites the community in remembering the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks and in the wars since. Proceeds support TMF programs that empower veterans and families of the fallen to develop character in future generations and create thriving communities.
