AIA Chesapeake Bay is excited to gather for our Annual Crab Feast on September 23, 2021. This year's event will be held at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center which sits upon a 510 acre preserve in Grasonville, MD. We will kick off the evening with a credited presentation about this impressive LEED certified building at 4:30 pm. Followed by a feast featuring Maryland's finest blue crabs and BBQ ribs and chicken, mac-and-cheese, cole slaw, fruit salad, dessert, beverages and more from Adam's Grille - Kent Island.

Seven Seas Cruising Association Fall Conference (GAM)
September 24th through 26th; Maryland Yacht Club, Pasadena
Fall Chesapeake Bay sailing/cruising conference (GAM) to be held again at the Maryland Yacht Club in Pasadena, MD. A 3 day event that has a variety of discussion topics from anchoring techniques , sailing with kids , Chesapeake Bay cruising grounds- to heavy weather sailing and off shore passage making. Many hands on sessions as well. The conference provides both experienced and novice sailors an opportunity to learn from one another and make new connections.
Leadership Howard County's Big Event
September 24th, 4:30 - 7 p.m.; Turf Valley Resort, Ellicott City
Leadership Howard County will hold its annual Big Event featuring guest speaker Amelia Rose Earhart, who will present her keynote speech “Navigating thru Turbulent Times.” Earhart will share her inspirational lessons and how to create a flight plan to navigate unchartered territory with courage, face fear with confidence and make adjustments to stay productive and successful. The Big Event brings together more than 400 leaders from business, government and nonprofit organizations in Howard County. Proceeds from the event support Leadership Howard County programs and scholarships.

Naptown Virtual Half Marathon & 5K
September 25th; Virtual Event
The 2021 Naptown Half Marathon & 10K/5K will be held virtually once again this year. All runners who participate will be able to take advantage of an enhanced virtual race with the freedom to run where and when they choose. The distances to complete are still the same, you can run a Half Marathon, 10K or 5K from wherever you are. All runners will have the opportunity to post their results to our leader board during race weekend and also post photos of their run!
September 25th, Easton Airport, Easton
On Saturday, September 25, Easton Airport will host the 12th annual Easton Airport Day, a community event offering the whole family an opportunity to visit the local airfield and see what flying is all about. Formation flyovers highlight the festivities with rare “Warbirds” flying patterns over the skies of Easton. The world-famous Rubber Chicken Drop Contest will also delight the crowd as pilots skillfully attempt to hit the bed of a pickup truck while flying over the airport. Rare and unique aircraft, military jets, airport equipment, and classic cars will be on display during the event. Photo-ops will be available with chances for families to sit inside select aircraft and meet the pilots that fly them.

We’re celebrating over 50 years of food and fun at Sandy Point State Park with a weekend full of delicious seafood dishes, exciting competitions, kids activities and more! While you sample all of our tasty offerings, enjoy all of our maritime related exhibits, contests, and activities. The Maryland Seafood Festival also hosts loads of local shopping and vendor options, a fantastic beverage selection with lots of local craft beer and wine, and tons of kids activities, all hosted along the beautiful shores of the scenic Chesapeake Bay.

Live music by Misspent Youth, gourmet food, open bar, and auction. All proceeds go to benefit The Light House a Homeless Prevention Support Center.

Water enthusiasts of all ages and expertise are invited to join us at the Bay Bridge Paddle, open to Stand Up Paddleboards, Kayaks and other paddle craft. Paddling any part of the Chesapeake Bay waters is a thrilling experience and launching from Sandy Point State Park is no different. With a beautiful sandy beach on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, you are provided with expansive views overlooking the Bay Bridge. This race will bring together all levels of paddlers to share in a day of camaraderie and fellowship. Each race will present a different experience and challenge, the bay’s shifting conditions add to the fun as racers can experience anything from flat water glides to gusty winds and unpredictable swell and tides from the wind and current.
