Ballet Theatre of Maryland's "Momentum"

Ballet Theatre of Maryland partners with Maryland Hall to celebrate the culmination of our Season of Hope with newly commissioned classical and contemporary works that will showcase the versatility of BTM’s dynamic dancers. This show will push the boundaries of dance as an artform to explore emotions and themes relevant to all of us presented through a medium that reaches beyond words and into the soul. Momentum features three world premieres by former Ballet Mistress Meagan Helman and current company dancers Isaac Martinez and Lindsey Bell, one North American premiere set by former company dancer Roman Mytyka, and one company premiere by Digital Dance Project Artistic Director Marinna Kus. This performance takes place outdoors in front of a live audience. Virtual streaming tickets are also available.

I am thrilled to share with you the upcoming FREE “Tickle My Money Bone!” Comedy Event presented by Crusaders for Change, LLC. This event will feature financial experts sharing their most embarrassing money stories and how they overcame their money traumas, bad money mindsets, and bad money decisions. It's time to take away the stigma, depression, and anxiety around money and start educating ourselves.
Kennedy Krieger Institute Women's Initiative Network Wine Walkabout Fundraiser

The Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), a volunteer organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Kennedy Krieger Institute, is hosting its 8th annual Wine Walkabout event virtually on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Supporters can enjoy this flavorful fundraiser, which will feature a virtual wine tasting led by Peter Wood, managing partner at The French Paradox Wines, and food pairings from Linwoods restaurant in Owings Mills. Additionally, guests can participate in a raffle.
Arts Soiree Online for the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra

This outdoor event will include 50 original framed watercolors by a local artist, Cynthia Palmer. The paintings will adorn the iron fence surrounding St. Anne's Church at Church Circle, Annapolis, Md. One painting of St. Anne's & Main Street will be raffled off at 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit The Light House, an Annapolis homeless support prevention center. Local producer TCR Event Management has taken over the event and will produce the cycling event as a fundraiser for this new program in For All Seasons. 100% of the donations, and a large percentage of all of the profits from the event will go directly to help grow these programs, directly affecting the youth in our schools. Various other community organizations will also be receiving funding through the program, as we hope to continue the philantrophic work that this event has cultivated over the years. Moveable Feast’s largest fundraiser of the year, Ride for the Feast, will return this year with both an in-person one-day ride and virtual Move for the Feast option! The event raises critical funds to provide healthy home-delivered meals for people experiencing food insecurity due life-threatening illness. Moveable Feast is an organization that raises donations for the preparation of meals, groceries, and nutritional counseling and services for men, women, and children who are living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other illnesses. Supporting 15 of Maryland’s 24 counties, they provide a variety of services and programs, including meal delivery, community partner meals, medical nutrition therapy, medical transportation, and community gardens. The Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne is inviting Annapolis residents and businesses to join in the 66th annual May Day celebration by displaying colorful baskets of flowers in front of their house or business. Due to the current social distancing mandates, the Garden Club will not be awarding blue ribbons this year. However, we are encouraging residents to set out May baskets on their porches in a showing of gratitude and appreciation of all of the numerous healthcare workers and many other helpers in our community. Feel free to be creative and use flowers from your garden and other items that you already own. Please set out your May “basket” by 10:00 am on Saturday, May 1, so that our community has a full day of viewing the colorful baskets around town. 2nd Annual Casey Cares Cinco de Mayo Virtual 5K

It’s time to lace up your running shoes or clip into your bike and help others in your community! It’s time for the 2nd Annual Casey Cares Cinco de Mayo Virtual 5K, taking place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at a place and time determined by the participant. Registration is $45 and all participants receive a t-shirt, race bib to download and a digital finishers medal. There will also be fun rewards announced throughout the coming weeks. Proceeds fund uplifting activities and programs for critically ill children in Maryland, Florida, Washington, DC and six other states.
