Lesser-known works by Classical masters Haydn and Beethoven accompany a musical portrait of New Orleans by Lalo Schifrin, Nocturnes by Pulitzer Prize-winner Kevin Puts, and a string quartet by ACMF 2025 Composer-in-Residence, Jorge Amado. Academy Art Museum: Anita Groener: To the Edge of Your World

The Academy Art Museum presents its first international exhibition, To the Edge of Your World, by acclaimed Dutch-Irish artist Anita Groener, on view from August 16 to October 26. Using natural and repurposed materials, Groener explores powerful themes of loss, migration, and resilience through intricate drawings, sculptures, and a new animated film, Shelter, created in collaboration with the Talbot Interfaith Shelter. Inspired by her travels through the American South and regions affected by global conflict, Groener’s work invites reflection on memory, displacement, and humanity’s enduring strength.
