Grab the entire family, a group of friends or that special someone as you head over to the Haunted House located near The Green to check-in, grab your concessions and head out for your gripping experience. First, you will be guided in the direction of a spooktacular drive-thru Haunted Alleyway Experience, complete with all the chilling scares you come to love this time of year. Then, mosey down the fog-filled path as you park to wait for your favorite fall feature film at the drive-in movie. Chesapeake Bay Trust Speaker: Terrance Smith

Terence Smith is an award-winning journalist, political reporter, foreign correspondent, editor, and television analyst over the course of a four-decade career. He worked for CBS News in Washington, reporting the cover stories for CBS Sunday Morning. He earned two Emmy’s for his work on 48 Hours, and shared the George Foster Peabody Award for general excellence given to the staff of CBS Sunday Morning. Later in his career, Mr. Smith turned to public television, founding and leading the media unit at The News Hour with Jim Lehrer. Smith is an inductee to the Society of Professional Journalists’ Hall of Fame.
Halloween Drive-In Movie
October 29th, 6-9 p.m.; Pip Moyer Recreation Center, Annapolis
Gather in the back parking lot of Pip Moyer Recreation Center for a Hocus Pocus movie night. Tickets are $10 a car, and each child will receive a premade goody bag and pre-packaged bag of popcorn. Staff will bring the goodies to each car wearing masks and gloves before the movie starts. Decorate your car for the chance to win a prize. Howl-a-Ween Costume Contest

On Friday 10/30, bring your pup to daycare in their most spooktacular outfit. The winner will receive 1 free day of day care and a spooky homemade stew. The winner will be decided by Facebook votes on the day of.

Hammond-Harwood House cannot host the traditional Pumpkin Walk this year. Instead, celebrate Halloween by bringing a decorated pumpkin and adding it to the Pumpkin Patch on the front lawn. Ballet Theatre of Maryland opens The Season of Hope with a revival of the classic tale that has been seducing audiences for generations. This exciting restaging pays tribute to choreographer and Founding Artistic Director Edward Stewart. The dark tale of Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire lives on through Ballet Theatre of Maryland’s blend of sensuous dancing and gripping theatrical performance.
