In a year defined by transformation and growth, Premier Planning Group (PPG) Wealth Management in Annapolis, Maryland, is celebrating it’s 25th year anniversary with fresh energy, a new headquarters, and a renewed commitment to the client experience that has defined it’s success for a quarter century.
Founded in 2001, PPG has grown into one of the region’s most respected independent financial planning firms, with nearly $1 Billion in assets under advisement with a deep specialization in retirement income planning. The firm’s next chapter – dubbed “PPG 2.0” – symbolizes both reflection and reinvention.
“This milestone is more than a number, it’s about evolution,” says Brion Harris, CEO, Founder and Financial Advisor of Premier Planning Group. “We’ve spent 25 years building trusted relationships, refining our process, and helping clients navigate every stage of their financial lives. Now, we’re building the next generation of PPG- stronger, smarter, and ready for what’s ahead.”
The centerpiece of that evolution is PPG’s brand new, custom-designed office building, a project more than two and a half years in the making. The new headquarters will serve as both a physical and symbolic home for the firm’s next era- merging technology and hospitality to create a client experience that blends a “Four Seasons experience” with “FedEx efficiency.”
“Designing this space was about intention,” says Chris Harris, CFO of Premier Planning Group. He explains, “We wanted a place that embodies who we are- professional, welcoming and forward thinking. It’s where our clients can feel at home and our team can do their best work.”
The new space feels aptly timed with the changes that have come along with living in a ‘post-Covid / AI’ world. Recognizing and acknowledging that our new landscape looks far different than it used to is critical in continuing to run a productive business. For instance, one challenge that we have recently faced was getting the full team together for a group photo, with the newly added bonus of remote workers. There are likely many out there in the business world that can empathize with this very scenario, but as you can see from the photo featured in this article, where there’s a will, there’s a way!
“At PPG, we always strive to navigate through every challenge to come out stronger on the other end,” says Talia Grover, Executive Assistant to Brion Harris and Head of Marketing. “We have a team mixed with both experience and fresh eyes, who are consistently looking forward with a goal of successfully merging both the “new” and the “old” worlds. We work to keep current with new technologies as they arise, without losing the art of the personal relationship, which is even more critical now in this increasingly digital age,” Talia adds. “One of the best parts of my job in particular, is that I get to be creative and have some fun with it along the way!”
And fun they have indeed! The combination of grit, hard work and determination, mixed with the always very necessary good sense of humor, has been what keeps the staff at PPG growing together throughout the years, regardless of the challenges incurred. This new space will surely serve to provide a fresh place for ideas and growth to blossom, as we all continue to grow and develop in this very fast paced and ever-changing world.
In addition to it’s new headquarters, PPG is expanding its advisory and operations team to support continued growth and client demand. Despite the changes, the firm remains rooted in its founding philosophy: delivering personalized, fiduciary advice, with a long-term focus on clarity, confidence and results.
