The 6th Annual Annapolis St. Patrick's Hooley will be held on March 7th. Naptown Events is thrilled to present this kickoff tradition to the St. Patrick's Day celebration! The Hooley is the Irish party of the year, complete with bars, full dinner, great craic, authentic live music, ample shenanigans and friends old and new! This year's craic (party) will be held on City Dock under heated tents. We're just going to take City Dock over the entire weekend. 4 1/2 hours of open bar, huge Irish food buffet catered by Adams Ribs.

Public Night: Sip & Scratch – Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels
March 6, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Participants are invited to enjoy two beverages and light hors d’oeuvres while carving their own unique designs and learning about the processes involved in casting iron by creating relief carvings into a resin-bonded sand mold. These carvings become the vessel in which molten iron will be poured during a live iron demonstration in the Shipyard on Saturday, March 7. Guests are invited back to CBMM on Saturday, March 7, to watch these designs and other student work being poured during the live demonstration. Once these cast designs have cooled and cleaned, participants can take home their pieces. Pick up of these pieces, unless otherwise arranged, will be any time after 1pm Sunday, March 8, during museum hours.

Pour on the Shore – Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St Michaels
March 7, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Join visiting masters and CBMM shipwrights for a live iron pour demonstration. Guests will have the opportunity to see a cupola (a continual tap furnace in which iron is melted) in action. Once the iron is molten and the furnace tapped, demonstrators will pour the molten iron into molds made by students, staff, and the public.
