Hope & Remembrance: Annual Community Gathering – Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts Friday, June 28th, 7 p.m. Join fellow community members on the one-year anniversary of the Capital Gazette tragedy to remember Gerald Fischman, Rob Hiaasen, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith, and Wendi Winters. Presented in Partnership by City of Annapolis, Maryland Hall, and Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis. Through music, art, and spoken testimonies, the community will come together for a special reflection and journey towards healing and hope including a post-event candlelight illumination. Annapolis Irish Rowing Regatta – Holiday Point Marina, Edgewater Saturday, June 29th, 12 p.m. Irish rowing teams from Annapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Albany, New London, Boston, and Milwaukee compete in 10 short rowing races. Come cheer on your local Annapolis Irish Rowing Team. Irish currach rowing competition with eight teams and 10 short races (20 minutes each). Annapolis Pride 2019: Inaugural Parade & Festival – Downtown Annapolis Saturday, June 29th, 12 p.m. Join the City of Annapolis for its first LGBTQ+ Pride Parade & Festival! The parade will begin at Amos Garrett Boulevard. and West Street. and finish at Calvert Street. and West Street. Party in the 'Port – Eastport Yacht Club Saturday, June 29th, 5–10 p.m. Head to Eastport Yacht Club and kickoff summer during Party in the 'Port, a new waterfront block party! The event will feature food, drinks, and live music from local Irish rock band, Dublin 5. Chesapeake Bayhawks vs. Atlanta Blaze – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis Saturday, June 29th, 6 p.m. Head to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to cheer on the Chesapeake Bayhawks lacrosse team for their first home game of the season. The home opener will celebrate the team’s annual Hometown Hero & Military Appreciation Night, and feature a post-game firework show. Maryland Food Truck Festival – Bowie Baysox Stadium, Bowie Sunday, June 30th, 11 a.m. Enjoy a day of baseball and food at the Maryland Food Truck Festival at Bowie Baysox Stadium. Easton Carnival – Waterside Village, Easton Friday, June 28th through Thursday, July 4th Join the Avalon Foundation for Easton’s 28th Annual Independence Day Celebration and Carnival. Tall Ship: Maryland Dove – Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels Friday, June 28th through Sunday, June 30th The Maryland Dove will be visiting the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and will be open for boarding to all CBMM guests. The vessel is a reproduction of the 17th-century trading ship that accompanied the first European setters to what is now Maryland. Built in a shipyard near Cambridge, in 1978, Maryland Dove is owned by the state of Maryland, and operated and maintained by the Historic St. Mary’s City Commission. From now through 2021, CBMM’s working Shipyard will be constructing the ship’s successor in full public view. Second Annual Krusty Crab Jam – Cult Classic Brewing Company, Stevensville Saturday, June 29th, 5–10 p.m. Kent Island Beach Cleanups and BioSafe by Conscious Distributors are excited to announce the second annual Krusty Crab Jam Benefit Show.
