Run for the Light House – Quiet Waters Park, Annapolis Sunday, September 22nd, 8 a.m. Join Friends of the Light House for the 2019 Annapolis Run for the Light House! The run provides scenic half-marathon and 5K routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. All proceeds from the Run for the Light House will benefit the Light House in Annapolis, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty. 9/11 Heroes Run – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis Sunday, September 22nd, 2 p.m. The Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run unites the community in remembering the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks and in the wars that followed. Easton Airport Day – Easton Airport Saturday, September 21st, 10 a.m. Easton Airport Day returns for its 11th year. Come see and hear the famous WWII Corsair and Avenger, two A-10 Warthogs, and a mass formation flyover featuring 40 aircrafts. Activities include plane rides, a jet pull contest, a classic car display, and the world-famous rubber chicken drop contest. This year’s event will also showcase the airport’s new Aviation Career Education initiative, which provides students the opportunity to explore careers in the aerospace industry. New this year is the Heritage Village, located on the courthouse grounds, which will celebrate the 350th anniversary of Dorchester County.
